Mike Wilton - President Mike was a fisheries and wildlife biologist for the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests/Ministry of Natural Resources for over 35 years prior to his retirement in 1996. More than 31 of those years were spent working in and around Algonquin Park, most recently as the Algonquin Park District wildlife biologist.     An awareness of ever increasing pressures due to encroaching urbanization from southern Ontario, plus a strong commitment to the protection of this unique ecosystem prompted the Wilton family to initiate the Algonquin Eco Watch Group, which received charitable status from Revenue Canada in 1997.
